Jenny is a certified performance trainer with a passion to help other people feel their best. She has a strong understanding of the importance of incorporating cardio fitness along with muscular strength. That is exactly what attracted Jenny to Functional Fitness, because of the unique way it incorporates strength training and cardio vascular fitness into a single innovative workout.
Jenny is "The Queen" of the FIT classes that are offered at CFF. She has a lot of fun teaching the classes and making sure everyone has the correct form and they are enjoying a great workout. |

Melissa Hawthorne

Melissa Hawthorne RN, BSN, CSCS has been a Registered Nurse for 28 years with emphasis in critical care and cardiology and has spent 6 years in medical sales for a major medical and cardiology device corporation. With 21 years experience in the fitness industry, some of her certifications in both group fitness and personal training include, ACE, AFAA, ISCA, Johnny G. Spinning, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, USA Weightlifting, and Aqua Fitness. Missy is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) for NSCA.
Missy is a skin care specialist and fitness consultant for The Plastic Surgery Group Inc. Cincinnati, and is owner of Priority Fitness Personal Training and Wellness. Missy also provides corporate fitness assessments for Living Longer Proactive Health Care Strategies. She served as a group fitness director for Bally Total Fitness in Cincinnati for 17years before moving to Cincinnati Functional Fitness (CFF).
Missy is an international workshop presenter and is currently a Master Trainer for Resist-A-Ball Inc., ISCA Personal training, and Promise Enterprises for Kick-boxing. Missy has played an active role in the development of the strength and conditioning program for the Cincinnati Reds Minor League teams, spring training 2002. Missy has often been asked to share exercise and fitness tips for FOX 19 TV or "Stretch on The Square" on Channel 12 WKRC TV. Missy served as chairperson for the City of Hope's Workout for hope 1998 - 2000 and continues to serve on the National Wellness Board for the City of Hope Research Hospital in California. |

Allison Thorpe

Allison has always had an interest in health and fitness and knew she would be happiest in a career where she could help others. Becoming a personal trainer has allowed her to combine these two passions. She enjoys being able to educate others about personal fitness and gets her greatest satisfaction from watching her clients improve their quality of life.
Whether she's training herself, her clients, teaching FIT classes, or simply helping to keep her friends and family motivated, Allison's dedication to helping others achieve their own personal fitness goals is evident. She is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable and passionate.
Allison believes that whether your desire is to get a body that simply runs better or a body that looks better, functional training is the way to achieve your goal.

Blake Rogers
BS, CSCS

Blake is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA. Originally from Charleston, West Virginia, he graduated from Davis and Elkins College with a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training. In addition to his degree, Blake furthered his education in the field of Strength & Conditioning by completing multiple internships. Blake was also a member of the baseball team. He hopes his past experiences, as a collegiate athlete will create success as a trainer. He loves to see his athlete’s hard work and dedication translate into success both on and off the field.

Andy Gray

Andy is an AFFA certified performance trainer. A 1997 graduate from Mariemont High School and a 2001 graduate from Ohio University with a major in Sports Marketing and Business, Andy excelled in a career in sales with Clear Channel Radio until recently deciding to pursue his love for fitness and athletics on a full time basis.
In addition to helping his CFF clients achieve their goals through functional exercise and a healthy lifestyle, Andy is entering his second season as an assistant track and field coach for The College of Mount St. Joseph.
