Melissa has been a Registered nurse for over 30 years. Critical care and cardiology had been her area of expertise until medical sales took her away from direct patient care to the corporate world with a major cardiology device company for 6 years. Nursing and medical sales only paralleled to Missy’s passion for fitness. Melissa’s love for teaching group fitness classes for two decades made pursuing a career in Personal Training an easy transition. Missy has been Personal training full time now for 17 years but also continues to work as an RN as a Skincare Specialist and consultant for The Plastic Surgery Group Inc. Cincinnati.

Experience:
Currently, Missy is an ACE/AFAA continuing education provider and an international fitness presenter. For three seasons, Missy was active in the conditioning of the Moeller High School cross country team.
Missy served as group fitness director for Bally Total Fitness Cincinnati Ohio for 17 years. She was also the group fitness and personal training director for MidTown Fitness center before moving to Cincinnati Functional Fitness (CFF).
Missy’s past experience includes Master Trainer for Resist-A-Ball Inc. ISCA Personal Training and Master Trainer for Promise Enterprises for Kickboxing. Missy also played an active role in the development of the strength and conditioning program for the Cincinnati Reds minor league teams spring training, 2002.
As part of the “19 in the Morning” morning show on Fox 19 TV, Missy hosted a segment “health in a minute” sharing health and exercise tips, and had often been asked to appear on “Stretch on the Square” Channel 12. Missy has published several articles on fitness and wellness for an on-line magazine publication. Missy served a chairperson for the City of Hope’s Workout for Hope 1989-200, was National vice chair 1995, a member of the national leadership committee 1996-2000 and continues to serve on the national wellness board for the City of Hope Research Hospital. Finding a new love for running, Missy has completed 6 Marathons and 12 half marathons. She also enjoys cycling and Yoga.
